WE ARE GROWING!!!!!

These are NOT paid positions, but we love our volunteers!

Merchandise Manager: IKC would like to offer merchandise on our website for suggested donations.  This will include t-shirts, buttons, and other items that can be printed with the IKC logo (or other appropriate imagery).  The Merchandise Manager would 1) manage physical inventory, 2) process requests through the website, 3) ship out products to recipients once every 2 weeks, and 4) coordinate with the IKC Webmaster for website postings.

Media Relations Manager: (i.e. the press, not social media): Visibility is important to IKC.  The Media Relations Manager would 1) maintain relationships with key local news outlets (TV, print, radio, etc.), 2) proactively reach out to local media in advance of major events and in response to emerging issues, 3) respond to inbound inquiries, 4) coordinate with IKC leadership regarding appropriate messaging and talking points, and 5) occasionally give interviews (when approved to do so by IKC leadership).

Advertising Manager:  In order to spread the word broadly, including in deep red areas, we want to explore low-cost high-visibility advertising solutions.  The Advertising Manager would 1) identify low-cost advertising that is available, 2) coordinate with IKC leadership regarding appropriate messaging, 3) coordinate with vendors (as needed), and 4) identify fundraising needs in order to support our advertising initiatives.

Project Leader: From time to time, IKC will have new initiatives and new projects that will need capable leadership to run them.  The specific requirements will be tailored for each project, but all projects generally require the following: 1) strong organizational skills, 2) communication and coordination with IKC leadership, 3) good teamwork capabilities, 4) reliability, and 5) exercise of good judgment.
