Indivisible Kansas City is very pleased to support Mr. Tracey Steele for Missouri House of Representatives, District 12.

We appreciate his strong stand to protect Missourians from the attempted lawless takeover of our state elections by the GOP leadership in Jefferson City. Tracey has been a steadfast supporter of democratic principles and personal freedoms in Missouri. In particular, we would like to praise three of Tracey’s public positions.

First and foremost, Tracey has called out the Missouri GOP for repeatedly attempting to ignore the will of the Missouri voters. He has not minced words, saying “Overturning ballot measures is unconstitutional and corrupt.” “Missourians have come together time and time again to pass ballot measures. Paid sick leave, abortion access, and more have been spoken for by the people. Despite that, Missouri republicans go back on their small-government values and put those same issues back on the ballot.” Tracey is 100% correct, and the Missouri GOP leadership’s actions are absolute bananas.

Second, Tracey has stood up against the GOP’s attempt to gerrymander Missouri at the request of the current Administration. We all saw their attempt for what it was: blatant cheating. Tracey has been on the forefront, calling for a restoration of basic fairness in Missouri’s elections, saying “Gerrymandering districts so legislators choose their voters instead of voters choosing their legislators is absurd and undemocratic.” In office, Tracey will use his voice to fight for normal, fair districting.

Finally, IKC wants to thank Tracey for demanding lawfulness and decency from DHS. Tracey said, “I will fight to abolish ICE and unmask federal agents in Missouri, because unchecked power to a secret police force puts us all in danger.” Missourians need representatives like Tracey in office, to help restore honor to Missouri’s government.
