Cindy Holscher
Indivisible Kansas City is proud to endorse Cindy Holscher to be Kansas’ next Governor.
Senator Holscher has served Kansans in Topeka since 2017, first in the House and now in the State Senate. During her time in the legislature, she helped put an end to the failed Brownback Experiment, restored funding to public schools, and brought bipartisan pragmatism back to the statehouse. We especially applaud Cindy for her leadership on data centers, rural hospitals, and affordability.
On data centers, Cindy has wisely called for a pause on new projects until strong guardrails are in place. These facilities use enormous amounts of polluting electricity. They should be cleaned up, and the companies building them should cover those costs, not Kansas families through higher utility bills.
On rural hospitals, Cindy recognizes that one of the best ways to protect them is to reverse the recent Medicaid cuts. These hospitals depend on Medicaid more than most, and too many rural Kansas already drive too far to reach a hospital in an emergency. By protecting Medicaid, we protect small towns across our state.
On affordability, Cindy supports common sense measures to rein in the price gouging that pads billionaires’ profits while driving up prices for everyone else. Democracy only works when Kansans are able to put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads without undue strain.
Kansans know the value of a Governor who respects our freedoms, supports equal rights for all, upholds the rule of law and serves as a check against extremist agendas. We trust Cindy will continue in that tradition, and we are proud to stand with her.
