Guerilla Projections
Guerilla Projections are short videos or still images displayed at a large scale on buildings, monuments or bridges, using these city elements as a canvas to display political messages. Videos with moving images or dynamic text effects attract the attention of pedestrians, people in cars or even those using the streetcar system.
Video images are created in Photoshop, and presentation videos are developed in PowerPoint with transition effects. A battery pack supplies power to the projector with a laptop used to play videos. The projected images are recorded for posting to social media to reach a wider audience.
Recent presentations have included messages regarding immigration raids and ICE detention facilities, Missouri redistricting legislation, release of the Epstein files, and the fight against fascism. Honoring our military veterans, positive community building messages, and the No Kings Rally advertising are a few other campaign examples.
Additional volunteers are needed to identify potential projection sites, assist in development of presentation images, and photograph the projected images for social media.
